Execution Governance | Change Leadership | Strategic Advisory
Brian Jackson is a strategic advisor and execution leader who helps organizations build the operating systems required to turn strategy into sustained performance.
His work is grounded in a simple premise: organizations rarely suffer from a shortage of strategy. More often, performance breaks down because the operating system beneath the strategy was never designed to execute it.
As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Innovance Consulting Group, Brian leads the firm’s strategic direction and advises leadership teams on execution governance, operating model design, organizational alignment, and transformation. He works at the intersection of strategy and execution, helping organizations translate executive priorities into clear decision structures, accountable operating rhythms, and scalable systems for delivering results.
Over a career spanning more than 17 years, Brian has led and governed complex programs and portfolios exceeding $1.8 billion in value, including capital-intensive environments involving hundreds of concurrent initiatives and budgets of up to $50 million. His experience includes building governance structures, stabilizing fragmented execution environments, strengthening cross-functional accountability, and creating greater executive visibility into performance, risk, and capital deployment.
Brian is frequently engaged where the strategy itself is not the primary problem. Instead, execution is constrained by unclear decision rights, fragmented ownership, inconsistent operating discipline, competing priorities, or organizational structures that no longer support what leadership is trying to accomplish.
His approach focuses on the system beneath performance: how decisions are made, how accountability is distributed, how information moves, how work crosses functional boundaries, and how leadership behaviors shape execution. By addressing those underlying conditions, he helps organizations improve decision velocity, reduce execution risk, and create the operating discipline required to sustain change.
At Innovance Consulting Group, Brian also leads the development of the firm’s execution architecture, creating scalable advisory frameworks that help clients protect capital, strengthen governance, improve organizational performance, and build durable internal capability beyond the life of a single initiative.
His perspective on operational excellence reflects a systems-based philosophy influenced by Lean and Shingo principles. Sustainable performance, in his view, should not depend on heroic individual effort. It should emerge from an environment in which leadership practices, decision systems, operating structures, and organizational behaviors reinforce effective execution by design.
Brian is a Project Management Professional (PMP), Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner, and PMO Practitioner.
